Carrie Ann Alford, Founder
I have almost 30 years of professional experience in communications, writing & editing for a wide range of organizations.
My background includes working as a reporter on Capitol Hill, roles in state & local government, political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, religious organizations and writing articles & book reviews for pop culture websites. My government experience is primarily in military & veterans issues. If you are a service member, veteran or family member with a story to share, I would love to be part of your journey!
My passion lies in working with aspiring writers and entrepreneurs on crafting compelling storytelling, refining & improving existing manuscripts, essays, articles or ideas in search of a platform.

I excel at seeing the big picture and helping clients change their perspectives, see ideas from new angles and clarify their goals, explore the possibilities for their projects and bring their ideas to life.
I provide one-on-one coaching to help you bring your manuscript, articles, essays or story ideas through to completion, ensuring your writing and ideas are crisp, concise, artistic, and engaging.
I'll be the outsider asking a lot of questions (like, A LOT of questions) to help you recalibrate your perspective. Whether you are an aspiring novelist or writer, entrepreneur, political candidate, nonprofit organization, small business, corporation or religious organization, I have experience working with people just like you.
Beta Reading with Mentorship
I offer personalized assistance to help develop your writing skills, polish your book manuscript, short stories or screenplay and achieve your goals as a writer. From brainstorming sessions to strategy development to honest, yet kind and thoughtful critiques of your fiction or nonfiction works, I'll be your partner every step of the way. Hey, I'm a writer too! We all need a Beta Reader to be supportive yet honest!
Editing and Proofreading
I provide comprehensive editing and proofreading services to ensure your content is error-free, polished, and professional. Whether you need a quick proofread of your organizations's print and web-based content or a deep dive with an eye towards consulting on a complete audit and overhaul, I've got you covered.
Website Design & Content
I have worked with several individuals, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs and civic organizations to create or revise their websites, providing high-quality content, photography and videos to educate and entertain. Please reach out for a list of websites currently viewable.
